Eagleby IOM Classic (DATE CHANGE)
Nr 329 Eagleby Rd, Eagleby, QLD
Calling all classic IOM skippers, we are running a regatta for classics only, so if you have one that meets the criteria, please clean it up and get ready to race with other boats of the era for a fun day of racing at Eagleby. Classic IOMs are prescribed as being of a design that was first launched before 2010 and of a non-tumblehome nature (where the hull grows narrower above the waterline than its beam) IOM yachts fitting within the intended concept and spirit of a Classic Division are typically designed, first registered and sailed before 2010, with the hull to be original, unmodified, and non-tumblehome. As a general guide, Hull Registrations would typically be pre #1300. We will deal with later registrations on a case-by-case basis with some proof of authenticity. Unmodified - should allow changing/updating fins. This is a fun regatta to be sailed under the Racing Rules of Sailing 2021 – 2024 as amended by Appendix E (Radio Sailing) and scored under the low points scoring system. SHRS will apply if more than one heat is required. Regatta is to be held at Eagleby Radio Yacht Club on the 15th of February 2026. Racing to start at 1100 and finish with a Sausage sizzle at 1530. Entry is $5.00
